Default Hello from the Mississippi Gulf Coast

Hi my name is Sue. I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and just love it. I don't quilt much because I don't know how. My youngest daughter got me a book "Quilting for Dummies" for Christmas, so hopefully I can have as much fun as all of you are having. I have an embroidery machine I use a lot for the Grand kids and love doing that. But I want to make them each a quilt from their grammy. I am really glad I found this Board. I have learned so much from it already. Thank you everyone. I appreciate all the tutorials.

embroidery on a square of 12 inch by 12 inch cotton, and now you have the beginning of a quilt. make some more12x12's add some strips between them, and your on your way to quilting.

Welcome from Alabama. you will love this board.

welcome sue! We are always glad to help out! and so glad you are determined to quilt! I found quilting (the very simple quilts) to be easier than making clothing... I hand quilt, but you don't even have to quilt.. If you want to do easy, tie your quilts... that's the quickest way to finish them... I hope you have tuns of fun!
