I have a question: I belong to a Thimbleberries group and just completed this gorgeous top that is 97 X 97? My problem is when I go to press it, by the time I get halfway through the pressing the part I just finished is all wrinkled again! HELP!! Any suggetions? I thought about taking to the cleaners? Of course it has to be pressed before I take it to be quilted on the machine??

    Any suggestions gladly welcomed!

    Thanks!

Welcome Renae! YOu could try ironing next to a bed so that as the quilt edges get ironed you will be able to "fold' it and keep it from getting into a heap all over again.

Welcome Renae! I put an old comforter down on my bed & just used my king size bed as an ironing board. It worked pretty well. I just had to move my material a little bit to get to all edges on a larger size quilt top. I liked the suggestions you got about using the ironing board next to the bed & folding as you go. That was a good idea. I hadn't thought of doing that!
