I am from Fayetteville, NC - WELCOME !!!! I, too, tried a quilting guild and found it lacking. My sister is in TWO and loves them both. California, for her, has really been her quilting heaven !!!!

Cameron, Yes, very familiar with many of the people there in times past. How long have you lived there??

I'm currently trying to reduce my stash. I'm making rail fence quilts to give at Christmas.
Welcome Momymom from the Piedmont of NC. I used to live in Vass. I still have family that lives in Carthage. I hear Pinehurst has an awesome quilt shop.
Blessings to you,
Sandi

Thanks to all. I haven't been to Linderellas. I've been told it is more crafts than quilting. And they refuse to stock thread. That's the one thing I need on a regular basis.Metler has gotten outragously expensive too. We have had 2 other quilt shops close in the last 18 {?} months. So, I've been using mail order some, mostly working from my stash.
We've been here 3 1/2 years this time. We were here in the early 80's. My DH is retired Army.
Look forward to hearing from all of you
Maybe all these quilters from the mid=state could meet at some point in time. All of the greetings I've recieved from NC are with in an hour or so of me.
