Hi, my name is Kaye. I live in Toledo, Ohio, but was born and raised in North Dakota. I will always consider North Dakota my home. It is spring and I miss hearing the Meadowlark's song, the wide open spaces and the prairie breezes.
I have six grown children and fourteen grandchildren. The grandchildren range in age from 18 month old twins to an 18 year old college freshman. All have been the recipients of my quilts. I love making children's quilts, my favorite being
different versions of "I Spy" quilts. I am anxious to start new projects using the
French Braid and Jelly Roll patterns. My husband does a lot of the cutting out for me, bless his heart. Do any of you live in this area and know of any quilting groups here....I have not had much luck finding one. Happy Spring Everyone.

Hello and a wave from central Iowa and another born and breed Dakota girl. I was raised on a farm near Turtle Lake, north of Bismarck. Where in ND are you originally from?

I am from Bismarck and have been in Turtle Lake a few times. We had an "almost like" North Dakota winter here this past year and I loved every one of the 70 inches of snow we had. My friends and neighbors think I am crazy and my husband says that I would change "my tune" if I had to shovel it and use the snow blower. I say never !!! As we celebrate spring, I always think of the summer ahead and the hot HUMID days, when we feel like Lake Erie is on top of us not next to us. I have not been back to Bismarck since my mother died 10 years ago,
I have no family left there. I do keep in touch with many friends there and hope to at least visit soon.
