Hello from Ohio (formerly Kentucky)
#1
Hi everyone. I've always wanted to learn to quilt, and about 4 years ago, my dh bought me a sewing machine and I started buying tons of fabric. I lived in a small town at the time, and the only place to purchase material was Walmart.
I bought the stuff that was onsale (remnants) because I figured if I messed it up, it wouldn't be a big deal.
I did a baby quilt (man was it funny looking) and ended up giving it as a gift (not the best gift either). Started on a second one and realized I was way out of my league. I basically put my stuff away and just dreamed about it for a while.
Fast forward to a few years later when I moved to a 'big city', found a wonderful quilt shop that has quilting classes (which I'm in the process of taking). I love it ... but I have SO MUCH to learn!
Just wanted to say hello and look forward to getting to know a few of you folks! :D
