I'm just learning to Quilt and would appreciate any local help I can find. I have bought beginner books and CD's, but if there is someone out there with time on their hands to give me some help when needed, I would appreciate it. . I know how to sew and I enjoy crafts and I'm smart and learn quickly.

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida!!!
I think there's a section on this board where a newbie(you) can be adopted by a mentor.
Go to the top of the page and hit HOME, scroll down to the swaps section and hit the ALL Group Activities and there's a list of all the swaps going on. Almost to the end of the page is a post for : Adoption of Newbies and it's still open. Just list what kind of help you need and someone should adopt you and help you out. I don't know how to post the thread, but I'm sure someone can help you out. I hope this helps you out if not, please send me a pm and I'll walk you through the process.
