Hello from Perth, Western Australia

Hi SewSydney,
Thanks for your response. It is devastating to see what is happening around our country. My brother lives in Queensland but luckily when the cyclone hit his town it was only Category 2, so only tree and leaf debris etc. Queensland has had its fair share as has Melbourne.
The fire we had over the weekend here in Roleystone and Armadale was shocking. More than 60 homes lost. That fire was not too far away from here and I could see the black smoke and thought the worst. Luckily no lives lost.
The weather here is still hot. I am ready for a break. With the heat we have had very strong hot winds from a low depression hitting the south west of the state. Bring on winter. We really need the rain. Our rainfall is so low. We hardly had any rain last year.
I am looking forward to learning and sharing with this group.
