Hello everyone! Lovely to hear from so many people, and equally lovely to hear that people have visited and loved Edinburgh - it certainly is spectacular, particularly on days like today when the sun is shining.
Linda from Washington - whereabouts are you? I spent a year in WA when I was a teenager, not far from Centralia.

Welcome from a fellow Scotswoman.! My husband and I live in Oregon.
My Dad's family is from Scotland. I will have to ask my sister exactly where. She went to Scotland last year on a business trip and her boss took her on a sight seeing trip of where are ancestors came from.

Hello and welcome! I am also new here and send greetings from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. Do not worry about all the new fabric, it never gets lonely. It calls us to create, so listen carefully and have lots of fun!

Hubby and I visited Edinburgh about 10 years ago on business and an extended holiday after. We loved your beautiful city. If you really want to jump into quilting on your own, you might want to check out the Electric Quilt software program. You can design your own quilt with just a few clicks, even scan in your own fabric in order to see what it would look like in your design. I have been using it for years, and it makes doing a quilt so much more fun.
