My name is Denise and I am in what used to be known as sunny Southern California. I live in the high desert over Palm Springs where we are lucky to get 2 inches of rain a year. We have had over 1 1/2 inches since Friday with at least another due in over the next 36 hours. I am thirsty for sunshine.
I have been quilting for 8 years. I like all sorts of quilting but love the hand work the best. I am a fan of applique and of paper piecing and I quilt most of my quilts by hand. I am very active in our local quilt guild and am fortunate enough to be retired - which gives me lots of time for quilting.
I am married with two sons in their mid 20's. Neither is ready for marriage yet so no DIL's or grandkids. That will come...

Welcome from a soggy and dreary Ramona, CA (San Diego)-wish you lived nearer-I also am newly retired (well, we still have our business in Vanuatu so I have to go "work" for a month or so twice a year for my manager to take time off). I also LOVE applique and mostly hand-quilt and have two grown sons and NO DIL or GK's yet!
