WELCOME, PAT! Im so happy to see you posting here! Your first quilt sound familar... I taught myself to quilt also.. I used 5/8" seams, pressed open... didnt match corners...used whatever fabrics I had sitting around. It was a tie quilt (that's the way grandma always did them).. Im not sure what happened to it. It's probably in the back of some pickup truck somewhere.. I have 4 brothers that were always grabbing quilts and afghans to protect their tools. :roll:
