I am Becky, a greenhorn, and I am just learning to quilt. I can find any classes to help, or if I do find a class, it is the wrong time, or I am busy on that date. So I am struggling in Lawton, Ok, learning to quilt.

Welcome!

There are LOTS of quilters here who are 'self taught'.

Any questions? Ask away - there's lots of quilters here who will happily give you their opinion! :)

I am self taught and love what I do. Every day I learn something from this board. Welcome from Louisiana.

Welcome from central Alabama. I have never had a quilting class either. I knew how to sew and never even thought I needed to know anything else, so I just jumped in. You will find everyone here very helpful, just ask anything you need to know.

You don't have to take classes to be a "quilter", quite a few of us are self taught.

Hi, Becky. I am working on my first guilt. This is a nice place to be. People are nice and friendly, and I feel like I am home here.
