Welcome from Springfield, OR, Love the idea of putting cross stitch in a quilt. "Fine line between hobby and mental illness" yep that nails it. We are all a bunch of enablers.

And a big HELLO from another in Wisconsin ... in pocket of country near Mukwonago. I, too, am a long-time cross-stitcher and red/bluework embroidery. Just learning to do applique for quilts, so will have choice of handwork while sitting in evenings!

Welcome from another Wisconsin quilter. You're right about limiting your computer time so that you don't lose quilting time. But, if you're learning things from this board, I'd say it's well worth the time.
