New Rochelle was a beautiful city back in the day. We even had a Bloomingdale's department store with a fabric department. I can remember an absolutely gorgeous floral linen fabric that my Mom and I bought there. She made the most beautiful dress for me with it. We lived down near Hudson Park right up the street from the marina. Where did your husband's family live in New Rochelle?

hI, I'm in Texas and have only begun quilting since I retired and moved from Nashville. I find quilters to be great people and what a rewarding way to meet with people.

I have read a lot of things on this site and have gotten some wonderful tips. I do have a question about how does becoming a regular member work?

Oh, I would absolutely love to go and thanks so much for the invitation but, unfortumately, Thursday is the day that I have to report to the Dept. of Labor unemployment office to attend a mandatory re-employment workshop and to verify that I am actively seeking employment. Now, honestly, which activity seems like more fun??? I am so jealous!!!

Oh, I am so disappointed! If the department of labor changes their mind and wants to meet with you on another day, please PM me and I will give you details about our get together.

Hi JoAnn, and welcome from another 'Yankee' in Georgia girl!! Glad to have you with us. Anyone attending the Expo in Atlanta on Sat March13th that would like to meet for lunch at Sweet Tomatoes? It is only one exit away, easy to get to and get back from. It is a wonderful all you can eat salad bar with soups, pasta, baked potatoes, breads, fruits, and dessert for one price. Wish I could be there Thur. too, but can't go until Saturday.

My husband is from Armonk, we lived in Mt. Kisco when we first married. We spent many years in Middletown and I worked at WCMC in Valhalla and Arden Hill in Goshen.

We are in Nashville now, after a few moves....I do not miss snow at all either!!

Welcome! I am new here also.
