Thank You everyone for your warm welcomes!
And yes it was warm in Yuma today. It was mid 80's with a little breeze. Yesterday we had a terrible wind storm. Due to be mid to high 80's for the rest of the week. You all need to come visit and warm up.
My hometown is San Diego, born and raised there. Moved to the bay area for work in the 90's and after retiring we moved to Wellton, just outside of Yuma. I always refer to where I live as Yuma since people seem to know where that is. If you have not been here you should come, only during the winter though. It is to hot to enjoy during the summer.
We jump in our motorhome and travel during the summer months. Many of our friends are snowbirds and come to Yuma during the winter months.

:P Hello Glynda and Welcome
I'm Sue from Scotland, I'm a Mum to four adult children plus one grandson.
I've been sewing for as long as I remember, and I've tried just about any kind you can think of but I always come back to my biggest loves of all - patchwork and quilting.
You've found a great place here, you'll makes lots of friends that will make you laugh, and help is always on hand if you need it. I hope you enjoy joining in some of the great swaps that are happening all the time.
I've yet to try free-motion, I hope you get round to trying it.
Looking forward to seeing pics of your work.
Bye for now,
Stay Happy!

Hi from southeastern AZ. Our grandson lives in Yuma and we visited him just after Christmas. I was able to get to two quilt shops while there. One we checked out on December 31st. Lots of dollars off. I spent around $50. Always have to visit the LQS where ever we travel.
