    If you want to keep your pins and needles sharp and close by when you sew, put a bar of soap next to your machine, and stick your pins in it, for it will keep them sharp. I have mine right next to my machine. I have the same pins for 10 years now. Good as new.

    Never heard this before, but it doesn't hurt to try it out plus the pins will smell clean!

    Ya know...we did that with diaper pins oh so many years ago! Whats old is new again!
