Hi, Jam. I'm your neighbor in Snellville. Have been quilting since I was 12- now I'm well on the down side of the hill :)
This board is great for help & info. Also check out YouTube & other internet sites. The library usually has good books too. A buddy is always nice too

Welcome from West Ga., Carrollton ! I too am new to quilting and fairly new to the board. I've sewn for many years but just discovered quilting and I love it! Happy Quilting !

Welcome from Dillard!

I believe you have a quilt store in Lithonia. My Bee visited there and she has beautiful batiks, in fact, the most I've seen in the LQS.

Welcome from Canton, GA. JoAnns has a really good hard cover book "Your Guide to Quilting" that I bought years ago and still refer to.

Hi, I live in Atlanta and there are 11 shops that participate in shop hops.
If you might be interested in a get together I'm trying to organize some:

Welcome from the Augusta, GA area. Great board, and a great bunch of GA quilters. Be sure to meet-up when we have our get-togethers.

Hello and welcome from Houston TX! I would also say to take a class for beginners at a quilt store. There are lots of tutorials on youtube and elsewhere also. Look for easier quilt patterns to start (even though you are an experienced sewer) that give good details.
