Hi all....from the Seattle area
So I've been lurking for a few days now, trying to figure this site out, and decided it was time to actually introduce myself.
I'm a SAHM to a 10 year old boy who is on the Autism Spectrum (formerly Asperger's diagnosis) and has ADHD. He's an awesome kid with his own set of challenges; and a 6 year old girl that's going on 30. She's a non-stop motormouth everyday. We don't have to wonder what she's thinking, it all comes out her mouth.
I'm fairly new to quilting, about to finish my third project, and find myself teaching myself how to do all this. My MIL (wonderful woman) started teaching me a couple years ago, but has since moved 6 hours away. I have on permanent loan from her a Singer 301. LOVE that machine too. Granted, it's the only one I've ever really used.
There's a quilting get-together every Tuesday that I go to every other week. Lately I've been thinking about getting a second machine that I can tote to and from that quilting get-together. I love that old Singer, but it gets heavy quickly. Oh, forgot to mention that I'm pregnant with baby #3 and due at the end of May.
I'm not the best at this talking about myself thing. I'm better at answering questions as they come up.
So, that's me....in a nutshell.

Welcome from Southern California! Washington is a wonderful state - I have family in Ellensburg and Camano Island. (Some other family too, but not sure where they are right now.)
Congratulations on the soon to be arrival - your hands must really be full!
