Welcome from Fl. A good rule of thumb in buying machines is to get the best you can comfortably afford. You can always grow in to features, but can't add them to a cheaper machine. I love all my decorative stitches for crazy quilting, and I'd feel deprived without some. Other folks may feel the same way about other features.

Hello & Welcome. I got a super nice BROTHER CSi000 from Walmart.com It was less then $200 . I LOVE IT!

Welcome to the board from Southern California. I have a Bernina 630 and I love it. Still learning about the embroidery stuff though. I've only had my Bernina 2 years and so far it has been a wonderful machine.
