Default Hi All

Hello everyone,

I’m a surgical nurse that uses quilting and baking to destress. I made my first quilt in 2009 and haven’t stopped since. Who would have thought cutting fabric into small pieces and sewing them back together again could be so relaxing! 😉 4333221

Hi and welcome from North Carolina! Before I started quilting, 100 years ago, I thought quilters were nutty to cut up perfectly good fabric to sew the pieces together. I even had an article published ridiculing the practice. Oh, how dumb was I!!

Hi and welcome from Maine, lots of encouragement and great information here. I too use quilting to destress. I work in a busy surgical orthopedic office and there is something therapeutic about cutting up all that gorgeous fabric and sewing it back together into a beautiful quilt, quilt on.....
