Thank you everybody you definitely know how to make someone feel wanted ..wow much appreciated and a BIG thanks to earthwalker for the tip on fixing bobbin tension worked great as you can see in the photo i had to connect a new power lead to this as it arced out when i first put it back together so just a word of warning with old machines BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU FIRST CONNECT them TO POWER i didn't get hurt as the circuit breaker kicked in but just a word of warning though...

man vs sew and earthwalker, love the colors of your vintage machines. Way cool.

Welcome man vs sew! I am sure you know you aren't alone on this board when it comes to men.

Have you done a search for the Vintage Sewing Machine Shop on this board? Lots of photos, lots of finds, lots and lots of enablers to help you add to your collection. All around a great place to come in and have a cup of coffee or tea. Many from Australia there too. :-D

PS: just noticed you are from Melbourne. My partner, mosaicthinking, in the 2011 Doll Quilt Swap is also from Melbourne. I just met her via PM yesterday. :-D

hello and welcome to the board from Ohio. Someone here should be able to answer your question. Hope to see some pics of the machines and your work. Even the rotissorie. I can use the idea to try and make one myself. Not from a sewing machine of course, lol.

EDIT: Went back and saw your pic. beautiful machine.
