Thanks so much for all the "welcomes"! I will try to get some of my pictures together and get them posted. I have truly enjoyed reading the posts, learning as I go, and getting to know each person.
I hope everyone had a safe yet enjoyable 4th of July weekend!

Oh by the way, the picture shown on my avatar is a quilt my sister and I made for our niece, Sammy Jo's wedding. When we decided to make this quilt, I had never done any hand applique'. My sister had chosen the pattern and also found an applique' class for us to take. I had always been afraid to try hand applique', but once I learned how it was great. I now have an applique' project going all the time. I work on it in the car whenever we go someplace. I was involved in a really bad car accident almost ten years ago, and I get jumpy when I watch what is going on outside while riding in a car. This way, I get to do something I enjoy and it keeps me from scaring my husband half to death when I gasp at what usually turns out to be nothing!
