Welcome. I can assure you that this Board has a wealth of information and knowledgeable people, resources, inspiration, and encouragement. I read it daily. NM....such a beautiful and diverse state. I found some of the most warm and welcoming people in our glorious country in the state of NM, particularly in the conservative southern portion of the state. FYI....Ruidoso has an INCREDIBLE Art and Craft Fair in the summer. I attended several years ago and found amazing things, including weavers of beautfully loomed textiles, quilt makers with their lovely quilts, embroidery, and many other artistic objects to admire and purchase from congenial craftsmen.

You must have suffered climate shock, big time, from the wettest to the dryest, not to mention going from sea level to high altitude. Did you find that brushing your hair exhausted you at first? I did when I moved from the UP of MI to NM. It was culture shock too. Now I will wish you welcome from WV, which is very humid.
