Hi! I'm Linda
#1
Hi quilters! I'm Linda. I live in east Texas. I come from a long line of quilters. My maternal grandmother planted the seed of loving quilts for their beauty as well as for their service many years ago. To get me started following in her footsteps, she gave me a hand pieced top which I quilted on a set of her frames. I was hooked after that and began making my own tops to quilt. Now, my mother also is a quilter, but she uses a long-arm for quilting rather than hand quilting. I have used her long arm several times myself, but still prefer hand quilting the quilts I intend to give as heirlooms. I am a grandmother myself now. Although neither of my two daughters has taken up quilting, I have high hopes in my granddaughter. She just turned 7, but its never too soon to learn and she already displays a great interest in sewing. I have a feeling the tradition will continue!!
