I always like to sew and watched my mother sewing every since I can remember. She still uses antique Singer Sewing Machine, even now it's very popular in my culture. The machines is very heavy duty, great for sewing moose hide and much more. A lot of my people (Dene) use caribou hide to make homemade gloves, jackets, sell for themselves. It's always been part of my heritage and I'm very proud of where I come from.
I'm native from NWT near Yellowknife, I was born in a small town call Fort Rae 41 years ago. I have Kenmore machine 158.17740 and an odd sewing machine call Regent, manufacture in Japan. I don't know much about the Regent machine, but anyone who knows about these two machines, etc manual book much appreciated.

Hi and welcome from Alaska. I admire anyone who can do moose hide and any other heavy duty sewing. Sewing is my life and has been a part of it for over 55 years. I can do other handwork but I always come back to sewing and now quilting is my favorite.
