Hi - I'm new too!
Hello everyone.
I am Helen and I am British, but live in France.
I have done craft since I was about 15 - mainly dressmaking and knitting.
However, i recently took it up again after a long break raising my children, who have now left home.
I decided to look at new crafts this time around, and quilting (and crochet) is on the list.
It has taken me a while to get organised, but I now have a room in the house where everything is set up, and I'm ready to go.
I haver started by making up some string quilt blocks - only 2 at the moment, but I am really pleased with how it has turned out.
I'm hoping the community here will get me more motivated!

bonjour et Bienvenue from Quebec city, Canada.
You will find inspiration and assistance here and friendship for sure! You seem all set for a nice hobby with an organized room ready for you. Browse around, ask questions and show us pictures of your first steps if you can, so we can encourage you to keep on quilting. We all started somewhere and every step is amazing!

Welcome from Southern California. Hope you can find some quilting fabrics in France. From what I heard, it is not a popular hobby there. I hope that you find the inspiration that I do from this site.
