Appreciating quilts for what they are -- history in our hands when they are from the past--to me is the greatest part, and it doesn't hurt that they are beautiful to look at and warm to sleep under.

my profile pic shows me and a Manx kitten, Tibby, we adopted from a shelter--he was pure white with sandy tipping--he died suddenly in the middle of the night just after he turned 1--around the 1st of Oct. We heard moans from our walk in closet about 1 am and by the time we found him, he was gone. In the pic, he is "smurgling"--had to check that out--he loved that fuzzy blue robe and would suck on it and go to sleep from when he was tiny--tibbers always wanted to do that all his short life! no go unless I had it on! oh what I went thru for that cat--diet coke, ice tea, water but about half a hour was my smurgle limit! we had such a special bond. took me 1 1/2 yrs to get another cat--i did adopt a bunny 6 mos later--but never a Manx again--we never knew but....
