Hi, it's time I introduce myself..

I've been reading so much on this forum for the last few days. I feel like my eyes are going to fall out. It is wonderful! So many helpful people. Thanks!
Anyway, my username is Ms Grace, which is not my name. 8) It's my beloved Pfaff's 7550 name!
My name is Jean. I'm a stay-at-home Mom of 2 great kids, ages 11 (son)
& 5 (daughter).
I taught myself to quilt about 9 years ago. Never took any classes.
Piecing is not a big problem for me, but putting all 3 layers together is.
I'm attempting quilt-as-you-go for the first time. We'll see how that works.
I've been enjoying reading all the past posts.
Look forward to making new quilting friends!

Welcome! We all find ways to make quilting work best for ourselves. There are quite a few discussions about quilting as you go - the search function is on the first blue font line at the top of the page.
No doubt, you've already noticed that we love pictures! Ou illustrious admin has created a special section for lessons and tutorials now, in case you want to try something different.

Hi Jean from Iowa, I self-taught myself to quilt also and I have learned so much from the people on this site it's amazing, and i have made quilts on and off for 30 + years. I am not that old just started very young. Looking forward to seeing your projects come to life.

Welcome Ms Jean and her faithful friend. ;) Funny I started machine sewing when my oldest was two. Of course she's still two, (for less then twenty days!) Welcome to our little corner of the Internet. This is a great place to sit relax enjoy a cup of whatever is cool and refreshing to you. Truly this place is filled with wonderful people, we all look forward to seeing your work, and never hesitate to ask us about patterns, inspiration, or a kick in the pants, though you have to ASK for that last one, we are a group full of support.
