Hi from Maine
Hi Everyone. I am a self taught quilter. I failed sewing in school Many many moons ago...like 30+ years ago. I broke my wrist a few years back and could not crochet so I taught myself to quilt. And the first quilt I made was a butterfly quilt and to be real honest it was not easy and I would never make another one. With my left wrist broken and in a cast up to my elbow I had all I could do just to get my fingers moving. I am quite proud of all my not so good quilts. I am just a mediocre quilt maker and an expert doily crocheter/designer. I live in central Maine, I am 52, Married and looking to learn some new things here and enjoy reading the chats. I have been looking at some of the beautiful quilts here. Lovely works. Applique is not my thing. It's beautiful but I am not much of a hand sewer. I love the Baltimore quilts and maybe someday I will have to make one just to say I did. I have a small in home longarm quilting business here at the house and do a fair job at it. I only do stippling. Seems everyone likes it. It's very small and takes me a couple of days per queen sized quilt. Ok I was only going to say hi not write a book. My name is Priscilla.

Hi I am from Co. and want to welcome tothe board. I haven't done much applique yet but do love embroidery, hence my quilt. I took up quilting about 12 years ago and am self taught too. Not too good at it though so maybe having someone helo me would improve. LOL
