Greetings from Georgia!! I think they should post a warning on this site, BEFORE you sign up!! It should say, "The QuiltingBoard is not responsible for burning eyes, dirty dishes, and unmade beds. They are also not responsible for more reading about quilts/quilters, than the making of quilts. If you still want to join, knowing all this, come on in!!"
Ok, so I joined just a few days and have suffered with eye strain for days. On the other hand, I've seen quilt patterns I've never laid eyes on, read fabulous tutorials, met some really nice people AND I got a D9P cut and nearly finished piecing, in just a few hours!! Never had heard of one and now in a few hours, the whole top will be pieced!! That's the good news, Old Hag!! You will love it here...you just have to use some self control if you want anything else accomplished!!
Ask anything about quilting!! You'll get many answers!!

OK so I posted that and then ...gasp...cleaned up the mess that happened in my house while I sat idly by letting it. Then I hobbled off to work for the evening and when I get back here...Whew!I got replies!! Thanks for all your warm welcomes. It probably will take me a while to get you all straight in my head as to who is who when I'm reading all these posts. I am amazed at the responses.
but I'm off to bed as these bones are tired.
    Thanks again everyone

Hello and welcome from SW Iowa. Glad to have you here. My DD and DGD live with me too. DGD started sewing on her own machine at about 5 and is 7 now. We have a lot in common.
