Looks like I missed your post yesterday, welcome to the boards.
I'm currently using a modern Bernina but I fell in love with the post-war machines when I started using my friend's grandmother's Remington. I have several other machines, a Singer 301 (currently at my neighbor's being used to make masks), a 1950s or so era Pfaff, and my husband's grandmother's machine, a very humble very well used machine that is currently acting as a lamp stand under a picture my grandmother painted
I don't have a treadle but eventually (in the next 5 years or so...) I can see getting one, I just have a small house and have to decide on what is going out first.
