Default Hi!

Hi, my name is Amy. I started quilting about a year ago. My mother-in-law taught me. I love quilting and am trying to get better at free motion quilting. I love trying new things with quilting. I am really liking appliqué quilting.

Welcome from Idaho! Such a sweet memory you’ll have of your time with MIL. My MIL taught me hand embroidery..she is a master at it....the back of her projects look better than the front of mine. Lol... enjoy your quilting journey. Looking forward to seeing your creations..

Hi AmyK, glad to have you here.

I don't do much applique myself but I'm constantly amazed and inspired by the work around me. The big thing is that there are all sorts of quilters and all sorts of ideas of having fun, and we are happy to have another person join in.

Welcome, so nice that you have a crafting/creative link to your MIL. I have two daughters in law and the only link we have is that they both like nice yarn for their crocheting. Makes gift giving easy, but doesn't build relationship very much.
