Welcome from Missouri. I think if you just find a pattern you like that you should start with that. I think Paper Piecing takes a lot longer than just piecing a quilt. Good luck in whatever you do.

One of my first blocks was PP and I loved it :D Check out different tutorials on Youtube, you may find it helpful in understanding the process :D:D:D
