Hi, I'm really, really new to quilting. I haven't started one yet but I find quilting so beautiful that I want to start. I'd appreciate any tips you have. I was thinking about machine piecing and hand quilting. What do you think?

Machine piecing and hand quilting sounds great! Start with something easy. Just sew blocks together with a border. Or just do a nine patch--Something you like and keep it simple

Hello & Welcome to the board from Beavercreek, Oregon!! There are lots of people who machine piece their quilt tops & then hand quilt them. It usually takes longer to hand quilt but I'm always impressed with people who have the patience & talent to quilt by hand. I've only done small projects by hand. :-D
