Hallo! I'm DreamXer (Dreamstitcher in short) and I found this forum by looking for some answers to prewash or not to prewash...
I'm 35, no kids (unless you count my feathered babies!), a terror-ific cat and a hubby (of sorts, but longtime :-} ). We live outside North Bay, Ontario.
I'm a new quilter but I've loved colour and fabric since I was small. I'm a member of one of our local guilds and I work a day a week at one of our local quilt stores. I also work during the week as a finance clerk. In the summer I love to garden and spend time outdoors!
I have a Kenmore sewing machine that was a grad gift - I'm still learning about it though! - but it works great for what I need!
Got to go as I'm writing this at lunch... look forward to meeting you all!

Welcome! A big YES to prewashing. If you use the search function above, you can find a million threads about that subject, and a few "woe is me!" from those who ran into troubles when they skipped pre-washing.
There's also a great picture section, and a furry friends thread where your cat will feel right at home !

not easy - i was hoping it would be the same as when I worked in restaurants - I rarely ate the food then. Not so in a palace of fabric! LOL
I work there for the fabric - it's the jam to my bread and butter...
 :D
