    Hello from an Illinois farm boy, now living in Arizona, that also started quilting a few years ago. I too have a lot to learn and need to get back into quilting after not doing much the past couple of years. It's good to see another man in here!

    Lots of men on here! Remember what you learned in shop class - measure twice and cut once! Accuracy in cutting and sewing is very important.

    lol. Measure twice and cut once? My dad use to always say "I cut it off 3 times and it's still too short". So...that's probably true for quilting squares too?
