    Default Howdy from Tyler, TX

Hello! I am 40 (almost) years old and have just begun quilting. I am married with 2 grown children. I have completed 1 quilt which is bassinet sized. This is because I bought some material because I wanted to make a quilt, got overwhelmed, & decided to make a mini-quilt until I at least began to understand what I am doing. I loved making it & am starting on a crib-sized one. My husband & I are trying to expan the family so these will be used for that baby or a grandchild, whichever comes 1st. Hopefully grandchildren are still atleast 5 years away. So, hello all. I've enjoyed reading the posts & looking at pics.

Hi from Grapeland, Tx which is between Palestine and Crockett. I am a new quilter also...54...we visit Tyler usually about once a month...hit Sam's...the Drug Emporium for gluten free products...and now to hit the fabric stores. Have you visited A Nimble Thimble yet or Sharman's Sewing Center? Both are wonderful(I didn't have near enough time to spend in them the one time I have been to both). Of course hancock's is good also. I also have completed one project and am now working on my second one...have fallen in love with this craft completely and wish I had started sooner!
