Hi ya'll. Just moved into our new home that my husband has been building for the past five years. He has done 90% of all the building himself (while working a full time job 30 miles away). Still finishing up some areas, but it is beautiful...I am so proud. I have been quilting for about 30 years and I collect vintage quilts. I enjoy making lots of different types of quilts( pieced, applique, art quilts, etc). My new studio isn't finished yet, but will be great when it is completed and I can't wait to show it off. Looking forward to being a part of this group and I love looking at the pics of all your amazing quilts. Happy threads to you.....Jaynie

Another howdy from Texas. We lived in Stanton and Midland before moving to Houston and have now retired to Lubbock. Glad to have you on board with us. I think you'll like this group.

My folks lived near Stanton from the mid 70's until around 1990..first at Lenorah, then at Tarzan. I grew up around Knott and Ackerly, so I know lots of Stanton folks. I great little town, even the "ole soreheads".

I am at Colorado City Lake (just outside of Colorado City). I am just about in the middle between Abilene & Midland. Moved here from Big Spring in 2001 to build our dream home. My husband retires next year.

Here is a picture of the new house from the lake side. My husband did about 90% of all the building by himself....I think I'll keep him. He also did the retaining walls, dirt work, planted the trees, and the boat dock..he does it all.

My house from the lake side.
