Check out www.hypnobirthing .com for all the latest information about the program. Sounds like your DGD is a bit later than they normally like to start the program, but with the book and your own scripts you could help her a lot.

The focus is on normal, non-interventive, hopefully un-medicated, peaceful birthing so that baby is alert and bonding is immediate. Many HB parents give birth in birthing centers or at home with a midwife and use a labor/birthing tub. The mothers have learned how to deeply relax and access the core of themselves to allow only the muscles needed for labor to work strongly. The process is amazing to participate in.
