Hello! I'm Paula from central Illinois. I saw another Paula recently joined, so I'm going to go by Teacup if there's not another one of them around. I've been reading the newsletter since 2006 and following many of the newsletter links to popular threads. Recently I've been spending more time here. I totally cracked up at the "ugliest fabric" conversation several weeks ago and showed it to my DH (see, I'm learning some of your acronyms!). He didn't get it.
I haven't joined because I hardly ever quilt. I collect quilt books and patterns, drool in fabric stores, watch every quilting show I can find on PBS, doodle patterns when I'm bored, explore the Quilters Cache website if I can't sleep at night, etc. I've been doing this for years, but have only completed a few small projects and and also have three unfinished quilts (ages 10, 7 and 4 years old).
We are recent empty nesters and I'm FINALLY getting a sewing room set up. The baby doll quilt exchange was the push I needed to join and try this all out. You all are having way too much fun! I want to play too.

Oh, and I love blue and yellow. Unfortunately, I'm gone at least 55 hours a week at work and with gardening and other time demands I'll probably only have time to get the doll quilt completed. That, for me, would be a big accomplishment! I'll keep my eye open for other swaps in the future.

I lurked, procastinated, bought books, supplies, and all that too, and then finally took the plunge. I have so many WIP's a going it isn't even funny
Glad that you decided to jump in!! The BOM's here are fun, too. You can do one, or them all...no time frames...no pressure...but they are there whenever we want to join in
