I got divorced about 5 yrs ago. Moved froma 3 bedrm house to a 1 bed apt, and since the "d" I haven't quilting a stitch. Have 2 jobs and a puppy and no time for it, but I hate not having my own sewing room , which I had before "d", anyway I am stuck with a table and still no time. And when by chance I have time I have no energy. I come on this site to marvel at all that you ladies are doing. Keep it up i get encouraged by all I read. Katie

Welcome and waving from Arkansas. We're happy to have you join the fun. Maybe someday soon you'll have more time and energy for your quilting. Until then you can get your "fix" by visiting us.

I need a lap quilt to do by hand instead of machine I think I can do that faster than rooting out machine, Does any one have a quick and fun hand quilt to piece. :-D

Maybe, retirement will bring more time to be able to quilt. (I love to look, too.)

It takes time. I rented a small house after my "d". About 700 square feet, and a teenage son and a dog. My bedroom became my sewing/office/bedroom/hangout. When I managed to get a top pieced after 12 hours of work, I would move the furniture out of the living room into the kitchen/laundry room. I could layer a king size quilt almost wall to wall. Just jump in and enjoy the challenge.
