Default I'm Back and have a question

Hi! I'm Sandi and have been away from the board for a couple of years. Is there still a Digest edition/version? I used to get a new email every day but it was a "digest" and looked like a newsletter page with lots of linked topics and shared posts. Can I still get that? Can't figure it out from checking everything available. (I've made more than 200 quilts, probably a dozen complete sets of quilted pieced placemats and matching table runners. I love to paper piece crazy quilt squares and have probably made more than 10,000 individual hexies before turning them into placemats, large table covers etc. I'm happy to be back and see what everyone else in the quilting world is up to!

Welcome back! I believe that the Quilt Digest is separate from Quiltingboard.

Welcome Back from SE Michigan. I don't have a clue about a digest version. I have been using my PC for years here. If you have been gone for more that 2 years you may remember a totally different format to the QB. Much has changed. Some functions are no longer available and others have changed drastically. I am so use to this mode now that I hardly recall what the other mode looked like or how it operated. Again welcome back.

From my understanding, when the board moved to a different VB version at the beginning of last year, the Daily Digest was no longer an option (as well as some other things). I know my sister used and liked that aspect of QB, but has not been back since they changed. There was a way to get something similar from the home page, but no longer. I understand why so many liked the Digest. The option now is to click on "New Posts" in the black bar below the logo in the top left of the screen. The other option would be to go to https://www.quiltingboard.com/ and then click on the forum sections that you have an interest in.

I remember the digest! It went the way of the dodo bird when the board 'upgraded' to a different server. So did the feedback section. I really miss the feedback... it gave us lots of valuable info esp. where swaps were concerned

You are correct--no more daily digest. I don't know why they call this an upgrade as it seems there are a lot more comments about difficulty posting pictures and some other things about this format. I've received this board for years and find I don't get as much enjoyment or ideas from this format as I did from the digest. I understand why some have discontinued using it. I've stuck with it, hoping for improvement and once in awhile I'll see something that is a help to me--not nearly as much as before. I wish they'd go back to the daily digest as it was more helpful to me. I really don't intend to be complaining; just saying it like it is.
