There has always been a huge connection between Ohio and Maine -- going back to the pioneer days. We see lots of Ohio visitors as well as renters and summer owners.

I agree about the fish -- in FL and here in WA the fish doesn't compare. It must be the very cold North Atlantic Ocean. Plus only hours from being landed at the docks.

Mim -- now in WA for the winter

The big deal in Ohio is Perch or Walleye. I've been spoiled and eat only haddock which there isn't any here. I don't eat fresh water fish so I haven't tried these fish. I drove 200 miles round trip to Sandusky because a restaurant had advertised fried clams. NOT They were clam strips. This fall everyone had clam bakes. But they forgot the lobster. Only had steamed clams (that I don't eat) and clam chowder. Oh well what ever did I expect.
