Hello,

I recently joined the board after learning about it from another quilter. Love it. I am retired from civil service and love to quilt. I have a shirt that says Before I learned to Quilt, I could Cook. That's me.
I have sewn clothing all my adult life, having raised 3 girls plus a son. But now, its quilting, and old machines. We do travel in a motor home, but not as much as before. DH is 81 and I am 77, so we stick to home most of the time. Do manage a few Navy reunions and Quilting classes and shows.

I do mostly community service quilts. Right now I am finishing up 20 for the Alpha Omega Veterans Services in Memphis. They work to get vets off the streets and sober and healthy. They have 5 houses with 110 beds. My quilts are prizes for the Christmas parties at each house for clients and staff.

So enjoy reading all the posts.

Hi I am from Co. and want to welcome. I too am a little older (69) but I didn't start quilting before and started at 58 so I am a slow starter. Have a glorious time sewing and creating new quilts
