Yesterday I was in the city and bought a package of Eggies. I used them last night and I am telling you they are wonderful. I read somewhere that someone was complaining about them being no good unless you spray them with cooking oil, so I was quite surprised to see that that is the very first notice in the box. You MUST spray them for them to work. I did. I cooked as directed and they popped right out when you open them and gently squeeze the eggie. They pop right out, no mess, no fuss, no problem. I will say that you must use large eggs or smaller, though. My X Large ones were just the tiniest bit too big. So the top was a bit softer than I wanted. However, with reg large that should not be an issue. It is also nice that you can just set the whole thing in the fridge and only open up the ones you want to eat right away. They store themselves and clean up with little effort. YAY. A product that works.

you can also put baking soda in the water when you boil the eggs...then dump the boiling water when they are cooked...put in iced water for a couple minutes and then they are really easy to peel!!

That is what I have always done, mostly. However, there is that rare occasion when it doesn't work. But with the eggies there is no peeling, which is heaven. Also they store right in the eggie until you eat them. We live in the boondocks and do not have a garbage disposal, so not having all those tiny bits of shell to make sure I pick up and throw away, rather than going down my drain is a big deal to me. I used to work in the egg industry and had lots of neat tricks and trivia about handling/cooking eggs, but Eggies are the greatest things ever.
