Introduction from Illinois
#1
My husband said I am a lurker at the sites I visit because I don't contribute, so I decided I'd better introduce myself. I have been reading the posts and looking at all the amazing photos since last October. I've gotten lots of ideas, but tend to spend more time online than at my sewing machine these days!
I love the site and all it has to offer. It is amazing that quilters from around the world can all come here and interact. There are so many talented people out there and this is a great venue to share.
I have been sewing for years and started making "quilts" in 2000. For the most part, my quilts are pieced and SITD with no fancy quilting - I want to learn that next!
Thanks for letting me lurk, now I'm out in the open.

I haven't uploaded a photo to the site before, so hopefully this will show up for you. This is a quilt of my parent's farm I did for them a few years ago. Obviously, the border could have used some actual "quilting" but I've never done that before so need to learn how and then go back and 'fix' this for them.
