    Just me!

My name is Angela and I live in the beautiful mountains of Western NC. I have only been quilting for a few years (swore all my life that I DID NOT SEW lol) and am so in love with it! I will be picking up my new long arm machine this weekend and I am super excited!! Spent today, getting all the furniture out of our living room and will move all my stash and sewing machines, cutting table, etc after the long arm is in place. I will attempt to put a picture up of what my sewing room looks like now (it is very tiny) and then again after I get my new toy.
I am married with a 14 yr old son at home, a married expecting daughter and her hubby who live at Parris Island with the most precious grandson ever!! However, we are hoping for a girl this time!
Glad to be here with you all and hopefully join in sharing our love of quilting!

Thank you! That was from a class I took in Suffolk, VA from a dear friend who owned a quilt shop. I was up there doing a craft show (I was a soapmaker for 10 years) and she offered to let me take the class at night after we closed the show. I would stay at her shop til midnight just playin away! lol The pattern is from BearPawQuilting and it was really not a hard project at all. The next one of theirs that I want is the one with the hummingbird on it! It is stunning!
    Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to the Quilting Board from sunny Nevada. Glad to have you aboard! Your wall hanging is gorgeous, which means I think you do beautiful work. Please tell me you straightened up your sewing room before you took the picture. Mine only looks like that about once a month, and then for about 10 minutes, until I start dragging things out again and start on a project. We welcome your expertise, and hope we can help you with a few questions as well. Sharing knowledge and experience is what this Quilting Board is all about --Oh, and having fun as well!

Thank you everyone! I love the friendliness of quilters!
Oh and Donna, I do make messes! lol I just tend to be very OCD about at least starting in a clean work area....sometimes looks like a bomb has gone off about 1/2 way thru and then when I'm done...I do have to clean it up. I think it just one of my genetic defects! lol
