Hi Cherry - welcome to this forum from another UK member. It’s good to have another Brit on board!
You live in a beautiful part of the UK - it must be glorious there at the moment. I’m across the country from you in Tyne and Wear.
Cheers!

Hello from the wet and foggy side of Washington state.
I also press my seams open, I was self taught and have been doing it since the 70s, the quilts are doing just fine. I try to embrace pressing to the side but I don't like it and so only do it when I join a block swap, which is rare.

Hi Cherry,
Welcome to the board! I have been to the Lake District. So lovely! My daughter lived in Widnes for a number of years, and when I visited we went to the Lake District. Went to see Beatrix Potter's house too. I loved it out there!
So 'hello' from Mississippi....
