Welcome Rachel from the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and Shipshewana, Indiana! I don't own a Bernina so I can't help you there, but take your time and enjoy learning and playing with your new 'baby'. I am sure that it will become an old comfortable friend in no time. Happy Quilting! :D

Loved your "getting over the quilt" comment so much that I had to laugh. You see, I too, felt guilty when I purchased two Berninas and a table when I retired. But having worked outside the home for many years, my DH convinced me that a little pampering was in order. And.....I have loved it so much that I sold my 440QE and bought a Series 820. What fun I am having. Thank you for the smiles today and a big welcome to a bunch of wonderful gals here on the Board.

PS: What kind of Bernina did you get?
