Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone might be able to help. I had a pattern for an octagon table topper but I lost the instructions to cut the center octagon. I know it started with a square. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it the one that you use a large square for the backing then lay on a smaller square of batting and top, then use a strip about 3-4" wide sewn at an angle every 9 inches. Then the strip gets attached to the other pieces, trimmed down, flipped around and then hemmed down to the top? If so, I have the pattern and I can email you a copy. Or, I can snail mail a copy and the angle template.

it is a lemanhalldesign #103 table topper
I know I had to make a 14" square then fold it in half then in half again - then a cut had to be made and I don't remember where to make the cut. Thank you so much for your time.

Okay, I looked it up and it appears to be the same as the pattern I have with the exception of mine only has a one piece border. However, I have used my pattern and pieced together two long strips for the border so it's got to work the same way. If you want to pm me with your home address I'll snail mail you a copy and the template for the angles.
