Hello from Montreal

The ADD theme hits a chord with me too - seriously linked to multiple UFO!
I like to quilt for causes, did a bicentennial church quilt, am struggling with blocks done for a Canadian Comfort and Remembrance Project quilt (online, amazing how many gorgeous different expressions are possible with one pattern and three set colours.
I just got an assignment from Ina May Gaskin (Head Midwife, The Farm Tennessee of Spiritual Midwifery fame) for a 36 year old and her baby who both died at birth, see SafeMotherhood.org or search with all those words, the blocks are beautiful are set in long panels two blocks deep.
....and am designing a quilt against genital mutilations I call "Dawn on New Knowledge (across top frame of centrefold block), Celebrating Gentleness (on side frames of centrefold block)". Now if that isn't ADD headed for UFO I don't know what is!!

Thanks for this forum!

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida!!!
You have a lot going on, but sometimes it's better not to have idle hands.

Blessings to you in Fla, the oil leak problem is constantly on my mind.

Maybe someone will design and start a quilt like Ina May is doing for the environment. I suggested it to my quilt guild here in Westmount but they are interested in other things tho we did do a quilt for the CCrQ project.

A few years ago when I was knitting at a bus stop a lovely old man with a big Hungarian accent came up to me and said "Busy hands keep the devil away"! I thought that was so nice!

Thanks for your post, take care,

Maurene
